We support three communication protocols:
1. Lab Streaming Layer (LSL), which is a wireless protocol.
2. UDP (wireless protocol) TTL wired triggering.
3. 1-bit TTL triggering is supported by PRO and PROX, and an 8-bit TTL connector can be found only on PROX.
You can find an example blog on how to send triggers using a TTL cable linked here.
You can send triggers from any software/hardware that support these protocols. If you need help with designing your experiment, you can contact us at support@mbraintrain.com
We can share example scripts written in:
- MATLAB, using Psychtoolbox functions. We have scripts that send LSL and UDP triggers. As an example task, we used Checkerboard (visual) and Three-tone Oddball task (auditory).
- Python + PsychoPy. Same as with previous.
- Neurobs Presentation software support LSL and TTL communication. We also have sample visual and auditory experiments.
- E-Prime software can use all 3 communication protocols to send triggers. If you're not using any of these but need help figuring out the synchronization, feel free to reach out.
