In order to record EEG data synchronously from 2 devices to the same file, you should do the following:
- Connect 2 computers to the same local area network (LAN). For better performance, the computers should be connected by an Ethernet cable over the router that is not connected to the internet. In case that you are streaming the data over the LSL protocol and over a Wi-Fi network, it is advisable to use a dual band protocol and connect the devices over the 5 GHz band for Wi-Fi. In each case, it is highly advisable to disconnect the router from the internet.
- Connect 2 SMARTING devices to the 2 computers, one SMARTING per each computer, and then start streaming on both computers. Please provide different names to the streams (e.g. EEG1 and EEG2).
- Follow the recording procedure on one of the computers (any of the two) as described in the user manual, page 25. You can download the user manual from our Website.
