How to use ExG electrodes with PRO line devices.

With PRO line we enabled the possibility to configure up to 8 channels out of 32 (PRO) or 64 channels (PROX) for ExG recordings. For example, this can be EOG, ECG, EMG and EGG measurements.

The default package we offer consists out of EEG electrodes on the cap + 8 bipolar electrodes. However, you can configure a custom number of ExG channels, if you don't need all 8.

Bipolar electrodes have separate reference channels from the EEG reference on the cap.

For the default bipolar configuration, there's a corresponding layout in the mbt software - Differential layout

By default, you get 6 pairs of ring, gel electrodes + 2 pairs of snap electrodes, that are used with disposable electrodes. You can see an example of 1 pair of ring (left) and 1 pair of snap (right) electrodes below:

And disposable electrodes that come in the package:

Reference electrode on each pair of ExG electrodes is marked with a red rubber at the top.

Bipolar electrodes have dedicated inputs on the cap casing. Cable length can be an important factor here, depending on where you want the electrodes to be placed. Inputs on the cap and ExG cables are color-coded.
