We no longer distribute BlueSoleil software with our Smarting devices. This is because BlueSoleil is not compatible with Windows 11 and in general, is not being serviced any more. Smarting devices can be connected using Bluetooth 5.0 - see the article How to connect Smarting without using BlueSoleil
The reason you get this message is because the Smarting device has been connected through BlueSoleil using a different driver. This can happen in two ways:
- Non-licensed BlueSoleil driver is active. This manifests as two BlueSoleil drivers in Device Manager. See this article on how to fix it: I am having problems with BlueSoleil – The software keeps asking for a license
2. You are using more than one BlueSoleil dongle. In this case, the Smarting device was most likely at some point connected to that PC through a different dongle.
Once the message Pass-key doesn't match pops up, you'll need to Delete the Smarting device from BlueSoleil software. Right-click on it and select "Delete":
After that, search for new devices again (double-click on the Sun icon). Your Smarting device should appear at some point. Then, you can just pair it again in the BlueSoleil software.
Right-click on Smarting and select "Search Services". BlueSoleil will find 1 Service.
After that, select "Connect Bluetooth Serial Port" and the device will connect to a COM port.
